Alpha-Bits Alphabet Play Brings Snowmen To Life!

It's been a very wintery winter and so when the letter 'W' came up as momstown Oakville's Alpha-Bits Alphabet Play theme for February it was easy to pick Winter as our word to explore!  Each child got to make their own snowman and we even made it snow by making our own tiny, homemade paper snowballs.

Everyone brought something from home that starts with the letter 'W' and we also sang some winter themed songs that went like this:

The Snow Song (to the tune of Row, row, row your boat)

Snow, snow, snow is here,
Falling to the ground.
On my nose and on my tongue,
Snow is all around.

Snow, snow, snow will make,
Everything so white.
Trees and cars and houses too,
What a chilly sight.

Snowman ABC Song (which we added to everyone's snowman craft)

A B C D E
Build a snowman just for me.
F G H I J
Please don't let him melt away.
K L M N O
Is he melting? NO! NO! NO!
P Q R S T
Down he melts away from me.
U V W X Y Z
I'll build him again you see.
