First the kids made 'birthday candles' out of fruit to stick on top of our watermelon birthday cake. They cut and then threaded pineapple, apple, grapes and strawberries onto wooden skewers.
Then we stuck the 'birthday candles' into our watermelon cake.
And our Junior Chef's loved 'blowing out' the candles!
We had another special treat in store for our Junior Chef's this morning, but before we got started on our second project we relied on Huggies Simply Clean wipes to clean up our sticky hands.
As much fun as our watermelon cake was, how can we celebrate a birthday without something a little more traditional? That's right - time to decorate some cupcakes! Our Junior Chef's got to work mixing the icing - we went with orange, green and blue. Why? Because those are momstown colours and we were celebrating momstown's birthday!
Here are some beautifully finished cupcakes, ready to be eaten!
We finished our Junior Chef session with a special circle time with Miss Sherri from Circle Time Parties. She brought out her tambourines, her bubbles, her shakers and her parachute!
