And celebrate we did!

Turning five, whether its a child or a small business, is a big deal and something to celebrate.  And celebrate we did!  Today, momstown Oakville and over 500 hundred people enjoyed a birthday party in Coronation Park with lots of activities and prizes and best of all, fun!

Today's Parent Magazine and Vinci Touchscreen Learning Tablets had the kids really engaged - they all looked so cute sitting in the bean bag chairs!

What a hit this craft station was!  Kids loved making their own birthday cake craft.  Hopedale Community Nursery School had all kinds of materials on hand to use and they are also responsible for those yummy happy face cookies that were in the loot bags.

A face painter is always a hit and today was no exception!  Thanks to CAA Oakville for bringing this talented lady.  While the kids got their faces painted, parents got to learn about the exceptional benefits there are to being a CAA member.  Great deal on a Disney trip anyone?

Ms. Sherri from Circle Time Parties led the group for circle time and parachute play and she also brought lots of instruments for the kids to test out.  These home made drums were a big hit!

In addition to music the kids also had a chance to work on their literacy skills.  The Oakville Parent-Child Centre was also at the party with lots and lots of books for the kids to read and share.  Best of all, each child got to take a book home with them!

Par-T-Perfect provided our bouncy castle and balloon animals.  Both stations were busy throughout the entire party, what a great addition to any celebration.

Simply Green Baby was on hand to add some glamour to our party.  They were painting nails with non toxic nail polish.

There was also lots of colour at our Picasso in the Park table sponsored by Little Rascals Indoor Playground and Party Place.

Power Yoga Canada led our little ones in a yoga demo.  What a serene place to practice your poses, right down by the lake!

AAR Automotive had car related toys to play with at their station and also had some yummy suckers to share with our party guests.

We also had the Canadian Red Cross on hand and their volunteers had many fun games and activities to help  teach our little ones about safety.

Monkeynastix kept the kids active with a really awesome obstacle course.  Jumping, throwing, balancing and lifting were some of the skills the kids got to practice.

Fitness on the Go also helped the kids burn some energy - they taught them some stretches and exercises. They worked up an apetite, just in time for the cupcakes to be served!

Just before the rain came, we were able to sing happy birthday and enjoy delicious cupcakes from Cupid's Cupcakes.  I have never seen cupcakes disappear so fast!  These cupcakes are definitely an Oakville favourite and as soon as they were being set up, the lineups started.  

Not only did the lucky party guests get some of the best cupcakes Oakville has to offer, but they could also feast on chocolate or vanilla pudding provided by ConAgra Foods.  And don't be fooled, it wasn't just the kids that were enjoying these treats, we saw plenty of mom's digging in too!

Overall, the day was a huge success and we had many happy mama's walk away with some amazing prizes like this Britax stroller organizer, a 3D/4D ultrasound package from Tiny Hearts 3D Ultrasound or a Melitta coffee prize pack.

And last but not least, a big shout out to Clifford the Big Red Dog who was such a welcome addition to our celebration.  The kids loved interacting with him and he loved holding babies and meeting many new friends! Clifford had an entourage most of the party as many kids were just fascinated and were following him around from station to station - very cute!
