Kindermusik with momstown Oakville!

momstown Oakville kids were jumping and clapping at Kindermusik today with Miss Lorry from Performance School of Music and Dance!

We had a "family time" class which is geared towards children between the ages of newborn and up, so it was perfect for our group.  Our youngest participants were 4 months, and our ages ranged right up to 5 years old.  Miss Lorry has a fabulous way of integrating all the children into the class, and being able to adjust activities to each age.

Our kids explored with rhythm and instruments.  We even got to play with some balls.  The music ranges and keeps the kids on their toes!

We Share Everything!

Thanks to Scholastic Canada, momstown Oakville is able to give away a book every month!

This month was a great book called "We Share Everything" by Robert Munsch. This was a popular one in my house - and so many of our moms (and kids) were excited to hear that this was our book give away this month! This is one of our little members checking out her new book that she is bringing home to "share" with her family!

A hilarious book about sharing, that also teaches the kids a few lessons along the way.
This topic is always hot on our message board, and kids are constantly learning about sharing at momstown events: circle time, playgroups, arts and crafts. It seemed so perfectly fitting to "share" a book like this with our little ones.

We host a "Tales for Tots" program every month with momstown Oakville. Scholastic Canada provides books for our program, and as raffle prizes for our moms who attend the event. Join us next month! Momstown Oakville offers a FREE 4 week membership trial, or email for membership details!

Mmmmm....Cereal!

momstown "My Body" Party Sponsored by Kellogg's

momstown Oakville moms and their little ones were treated to a yummy breakfast courtesy of our generous sponsor, Kellogg's! The Kids enjoyed their choice of cereal, fruit, yogurt and juice while their moms learned about the nutritional benefits of cereal as a breakfast choice.



After breakfast the kids got crafty, creating flowers made by tracing their own hand prints.

And of course there's always time for play after all that hard work!

As a thank you for participating in today's fun, each mom got to take home a fabulous gift bag provided by Kellogg's! We also learned more about how good cereal is for all of us - lots of fibre, nutrients and low in sodium. Makes for one delicious breakfast or snack!
