DIY: How To Make Scribble Cookies For Kids

At the momstown Oakville Sensory event over the weekend, we used Scribble Cookies to do leaf rubbings and they were a hit.  Moms, Dads and kids loved them!  There were so many questions about how to make them, a blog post seemed to be in order.  This recipe comes from Amanda, an Event Coordinator on the momstown Oakville team.

Getting ready to bake the Scribble Cookies

Directions To Make Scribble Cookies

1. Peel paper off old crayons, break into small bits (you can use multi colours but shades of one colour provides the best result).  This is a great way to use up broken crayons and the little pieces at the bottom of the crayon container!
2. Put each colour in a muffin tin double lined with paper liners
3. Bake at 350F degrees until melted (watch closely they don't take long to melt!)
4. Once melted, put directly in the freezer to solidify (keep them in the pan).
5. Once solid, peel liners off and voila, scribble cookies!
