Halloween Events for Oakville Moms and Kids

Halloween is such a creative holiday with so many ideas for crafts, costumes and spooky snacks!  We're lucky that Oakville moms and kids have the opportunity to celebrate with so many local Halloween events! Have you marked your calendar with these fun events?  I'm sure you'll see some of our momstown Oakville moms and kids there!


Little Rascals Indoor Playground Halloween Party
Friday Oct 19th 4:00pm -7:00pm

4 Cats West Oakville Halloween Party
Friday Oct 19th, 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Get your costume ready and come on down to 4Cats! We will be hosting our awesome Halloween Party with free art activities, magic spells, refreshments, & prizes to be won! Register here!

Halloween Spooktacular at the Halton County Radial Railway
October 20 & 27, 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
All ages event! Walk through the haunted car barn and travel in the old, creaky streetcars along the mainline and enjoy some hot apple cider & scary snacks. If you’re a Halloween fan this is definitely a spooky experience not to be missed! Costumes encouraged. Reservations not required. Tickets sold at the door.

Spooktacular Halloween at Mountsberg Conservation Area
Oct 20 & 21 and 27 & 28th, 10:00am - 4:00pm
Start your Halloween festivities early at Mountsberg Conservation Area's Spooktacular Halloween. This event is free with park admission and features plenty of hauntingly good fun for everyone: Creatures of the Night presentations with live snakes Bird of Prey Presentations - Owls & Vultures Halloween Special! Haunted PlayBarn, Scary Skeleton, Scavenger Hunt, Kids "tattoo" parlour & crafts, Harvest games, Bison rides.

Get In The Halloween Spirit, Whole Foods Market Oakville
Saturday, October 27th, 11:00am - 2:00pm
Drop in any time between 11am and 2pm to make a spooky craft, have a treat and lots of fun.

Halloween Happenings on Kerr St. between Lakeshore and Rebecca
October 27th
The daylong event includes a not so scary KidsZone including a scavenger hunt, bouncy castles, face painting and live entertainment.

Halloween Kidical Mass Family Bike Ride
October 27th, 10:30am - Lions Pool Parking Lots (159 Fenlan Avenue)
Ride ends at Kerr Village Pumpkin-palooza with food, fun, music and pumkins

Sunday, October 28th, 2:00pm - 6:00pm
$5 admission with all proceeds going to Unicef
Arts & crafts, face painting, raffle, bake sale and pumpkin carving!

Oakville Museum Masquerade Party
October 28th, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
A family fun afternoon! Wear your costume and enjoy games, contests, a magic lantern show and make a historically inspired mask. Cost is $5/person. For more information call 905-338-4400.

Halloween Fun Night at Oakville Parent-Child Centre
October 29th, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m
Join Oakville Parent-Child Centre at BOTH their North Service Road locations for some Halloween fun, plus loot bags for all ghosts & goblins!  Don't forget to wear your costume! Although this event is free, a minimum donation of $2.00 per family would be graciously accepted. Story times (at North Service Road-SATELLITE)  at 6:20 and 7:10 p.m. 

Tiny Tots on Parade, Downtown Oakville
October 31st, 2012, 10:00am
The merchants of Downtown Oakville invite all with young children to bring their small and scary ghosts and goblins to the annual Tiny Tots on Parade! This is a safe, entertaining holiday event for the little ones to enjoy. Festivities begin in Towne Square.

Preschool Monster Bash, Whole Foods Market, Oakville
October 31st, 10:00am - 11:00am
Join us for fun Halloween activities that are geared for 2-4 year olds. Face painting, story telling and monster cookie decorating! Come in costume or come as you are! Two sessions 10am/11am and 1pm/2pm.

Why would Whole Foods plan a preschooler event at the exact same time as the Tiny Tots parade? What a shame.
