Two Thumbs Up For The Fisher Price Stand Up Ballcano

It's always a good day when my kids get a new toy!  We were lucky enough to test out the new Fisher Price Stand Up Ballcano this month and we had lots of fun putting it to the test.  I set it up one night (took about 10 minutes and a screwdriver) once the kids were already in bed and then brought them down to the basement the next morning to surprise them with this new addition to our basement.  Instantly they ran right over to it and got to work figuring out how it worked.

My son was laughing with delight!

This toy is recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years.  My daughter is right in the middle of that age bracket and my son will be 4 early in the New Year so I was interested to see what they would both think about it.  The first time I made the balls go up and roll down the ramp, my daughter's eyes were darting all over the place, just mesmerized by all the action!  She immediately gathered up all the balls and put them back on the top to see it all happen again.

While this toy might be a bit young for my son, it was a great toy for them to play with together.  There are six balls which gave them plenty to share and my son would help my daughter collect all the balls so she could make the Ballcano erupt again.

From my point of view, I love that there are two volume settings and that the music is fun, not too babyish and not something that will get stuck in your head and drive you crazy.  It's more like dance music which also had my kids bopping along while they played.  I also really like that it teaches cause and effect and that all the balls are different colours.  When I was playing with my daughter this morning, I could ask her to give me the yellow ball, or the pink ball, which is helping her to learn her colours while having fun.

The Fisher Price Stand Up Ballcano gets two thumbs up from my two toy testers!  Be sure to enter here by October 31st for your chance to win one of your own!
