Tales for Tots: Farm Animals

We had a great time at momstown Oakville Tales for Tots!  Today was all about farm animals.  Our moms and kids came out for a fun filled morning.  We made farm animal crafts:  paper plate pigs and chicks.  Our kids had a great time cutting and gluing triangles and circles to complete their animals.

After being crafty, we had story time with a book provided by Scholastic CanadaOld Macdonald Had a Farm Finger Puppet Book.  The book fits an adult hand, and the kids will love to sing along!  At momstown Oakville, our kids were signing, mooing, quacking and having a great time.  It's a perfect soft puppet and board book all in one - great for young babies right through to pre-schoolers!

As always, with Tales for Tots, momstown Oakville is able to give away a copy of the book to a child at our group!

We also had snacks, and loads of play time for the kids to explore, learn and socialize.

This is the perfect time of year to learn about farm animals and we've got lots of Discovery Field Trips to farms in the Halton area on our calendar over the next few months.  Kids love to visit farms!  If you are looking for some farm themed inspiration, check out our momstown arts & crafts blog for lots of great ideas.

We read and share a new book every month at Tales for Tots event at momstown Oakville.  If you are interested in joining us next month, or for any of our other great events, register for a 4 week free trial!
